William and Caroline Kausen

These are William and Caroline Kausen. They came to the United States from Iserlohn Germany in 1850 and settled first in Louisiana and then in Humbolt County in northern California.

According to my sources, Caroline was William's second wife. The first one died of diesease as well as their children.

I am interested in any information pertaining to the Kausen (formerly Kaussen) line that lived around the Iserlohn, Germany area.
